TRAINING COURSES

RYA National Powerboat Scheme

Powerboat Level 1

An introduction to everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment including background theory resulting in the ability to drive under supervision.

 

Powerboat Level 2

This course includes mooring, anchoring and recovery plus all the boat driving skills required for basic competence in a powerboat.

 

Safety Boat Course

A two-day course for those who use powerboats to provide safety cover for other watersports such as cadet sailing. It includes rescue techniques and elements of race management and mark laying.

 

Powerboat Instructor Course 
 

The practical training for the RYA Powerboat courses is done in the RCIYC RIBs.

 

OTHER COURSES AVAILABLE

 

International Certificate of Competence (ICC) plus CEVNI endorsement for Inland Waterways

The essential document for trouble-free encounters with overseas marinas and marine authorities

 

A one day First Aid course designed for small boat users can be arranged by the Principal
